NYC DOE Office of Research, Accountability, and Data has released a new survey for parents to fill out about how they use information to choose and assess schools. Typically, school quality has been determined through Progress Reports, which ascribes a letter grade to a school based on quantitative measures of student outcomes as well as environment, and Quality Reviews. In a memo released yesterday about the survey, it was made clear that moving forward letter grades will no longer be used for Progress Reports.

Parents are requested to complete the survey by March 21st. Workshops will be held on March 26th and April 3 to get more detailed feedback. You can RSVP right on the survey for these events.
